A Two-Person Startup Says Its AI Posted Its Way to 2 Billion Views in 60 Days
Grocalo, a two-employee Y Combinator company, claims an AI can run a creator's content. The numbers are impressive, unaudited, and worth reading closely.

Two people. Two months. Two billion views.
That's the pitch on the Y Combinator page for Grocalo, and it's the kind of number that stops a coach mid-scroll — especially a coach who spent last Sunday night writing captions.
Grocalo was founded in 2026 by David Hwang and Alex Yee, has two employees, is based in Los Angeles, and describes itself as "an AI brain that runs content for creators." The company says it uses video understanding and platform analytics to "bottle up the taste behind each creator" and then personalize and distribute content to that creator's specific audience.
Then the headline claim: Grocalo says it generated 2 billion views and gained 4 million followers for its creators in the last two months.
Who's on the client list
This is where it gets interesting, and also where it gets complicated.
The company lists clients including comedian Jimmy O. Yang (11M followers), King Bach (72M), Leenda Dong (28M), Steven He (30M), Sheena Melwani (18M) and TV host Jeannie Mai (6M).
Add it up and you're looking at a client roster with well over 150 million combined followers before Grocalo touched anything.
So the 2 billion figure is real in the sense that a company published it under its own name to investors and the public. It is not audited, not broken out per client, and not separated into "views this system created" versus "views these accounts were always going to get."
That distinction is the whole story for anyone in the coaching business.
What the product actually claims to do
Grocalo's own site is more specific than the YC blurb. It says the system handles distribution, engagement and growth across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads and LinkedIn, and that each connection runs through the platform's official API.
Every video, post and caption a creator has published sits in one library, searchable by what was said in a video rather than by filename. The positioning is a jab at every other tool in the category: most give you another dashboard to log into, the company says, while Grocalo "does the work instead."
Access is currently by request. No public pricing.
The founders are not tourists
The résumés matter here, because "AI does your posting" is a claim anyone can make on a landing page.
Yee is a second-time YC founder who built and sold Onederful (W18), was a founding engineer at Lyra Health, and holds an MS in bioengineering from Stanford. Hwang spent five-plus years in investment banking covering enterprise software and digital media, then four years growing his partner's content end-to-end — a run he describes as 10 billion views and 5 million followers — and has a BA in economics from Johns Hopkins. They've been friends since middle school.
In other words, the company is built by someone who has actually run a large creator account by hand, which is closer to the coaching reality than most AI content startups get.
Why a coach should care, and where the analogy breaks
The thesis under Grocalo is the one that should make the industry sit up: that taste — the thing coaches insist can't be outsourced, the thing they charge for — can be modeled, replicated and run by software.
That's the part now being funded and staffed.
But read the mechanics. A system that learns what a 72-million-follower audience responds to and feeds it more of that is operating with a massive existing signal. A coach with 3,400 LinkedIn followers and eleven posts of performance data is a very different input problem. The model has almost nothing to bottle.
The honest read for now: this category is maturing fast at the top of the market, where there's already an audience and already a body of work, and it is still unproven at the bottom, where most coaches live.
The number to watch isn't 2 billion. It's what happens when a company like this publishes results for a client nobody has heard of.

Editor’s note: The claim that a model can run the personality layer of content is now a funded business. Coaches should understand exactly what the headline number does and doesn't prove.
