Will Smith's Brother Launched a Business Show Today. The Launch Partner Is an Executive Coaching Firm.
The Creative Executive pairs a YouTube interview series with a paid curriculum. Novus Global bought into the launch instead of building its own funnel.

A new business series went live on YouTube this morning out of Los Angeles, built around Hollywood access and ending with a 90-minute Will Smith interview. The names attached to the launch are the interesting part, and not the ones you'd expect.
The Creative Executive launched October 8, co-hosted by entrepreneur Harry Smith and filmmaker and technologist Siddhi Sundar, with a season paired to a subscriber-based curriculum for artists, founders and entertainment professionals. Harry Smith is the former CEO of Smith Global Media and Will Smith's brother; Sundar spent eight years at Netflix, where she was head of product innovation research.
The season launched in partnership with Wispr Flow, the show's official voice partner, and Novus Global, described in the announcement as an elite executive coaching firm working with leaders at some of the world's top companies.
Two launch partners. One of them sells coaching.
The model is the one coaches already sell
Strip out the celebrity and the structure is familiar. Every installment comes with a subscriber-only learning program built around playbooks, case studies and structured models, and the platform includes guidance on integrating AI into creative workflows. Free long-form video at the top, paid curriculum underneath. That is the course-plus-community build most coaches have been running since 2019.
The difference is the hook. The first season runs nine episodes with guests including producer Todd Black, Caleeb Pinkett, Chris Spencer, MAJOR., Jon Mone, and the Will Smith conversation closing it out. There is also an episode on film distribution economics through Smith Global Media and one on Harry Smith's real estate and construction work with hospitality brands including Capella, Starwood Hotels and W Hotels. Another covers mentorship.
The founders' own framing is the standard access pitch, sharpened: "the people who've succeeded at the highest levels are often the hardest to access," Smith and Sundar said in the launch statement.
Why a coaching firm pays to stand next to this
Novus Global is not an outsider to content. It produces the Beyond High Performance podcast alongside the Meta Performance Institute for Coaching, which trains executive coaches and sells certification modules at $2,950 for a two-month program for experienced coaches and $4,200 for a three-month practicum. The firm was founded in 2015, is based in Marina del Rey, and markets itself around work with Fortune 500 companies, professional athletes and artists.
So this is a company with its own show, its own audience and its own paid ladder choosing to buy position on someone else's launch anyway.
That's the move worth studying. Most coaching businesses spend their marketing budget on ads pointed at a webinar they control. Novus attached itself to a piece of entertainment IP where the audience is already assembled by curiosity about Will Smith, and where the people watching are the exact profile it sells to: creative professionals trying to turn talent into a business.
It is sponsorship as positioning rather than sponsorship as lead gen. Nobody watching a Todd Black interview is filling out an intake form that afternoon.
What we don't know
Terms were not disclosed. No fee, no revenue share, no equity detail appears in the announcement or in The Hollywood Reporter's coverage. There is also a small wrinkle in the counting: the launch release calls it a ten-episode first season, while reporting on the series describes nine episodes each paired with curriculum.
The open question is whether borrowed attention converts. A coaching firm's name in a press release is cheap recognition. Whether it produces enrolments depends entirely on how hard the curriculum layer pushes people toward the partners, and nobody outside the deal can see that yet.
Episode one is live. The Will Smith episode is the closer, which means the biggest audience arrives at the end of the funnel, not the start.

Editor’s note: A coaching firm bought attention inside entertainment IP instead of running its own funnel. Most of our readers have never considered that play.
